Mary Poppins

Mary Poppins (AKA as Margaret P Trader) passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, while recovering from a serious operation. She would have been 82 years old on June 15.

Mary Poppins (or Poppinz) was instrumental in the founding of Okinawa and San Diego H3's. She was the Hash Cash, Haberdash, Scribe, Beer and Munch Meister and wrote the Snooze for both fledgling hashes. In other words, initially, Mary Poppins was the entire mismanagement Bored for these two start-up hashes. She was GM of SDH3 at least twice.

She brought 40 SDH3 Hashers for the founding of LBH3 on January 6, 1985. Mary Poppins was famous for running with her red umbrella and her Bloody Mary checks.

A Go-Fund-Me is being formed for her by SDH3. Contributions can be called into SDH3 or also Glen Abbey Memorial Park and Mortuary in Bonita, CA at (619) 498-4600. A graveside funeral is planned in the next few weeks and a Celebration of Life later this year.

Peggy is survived by daughters Victoria Beck, Rebecca Trader, grandsons, Joseph Trader, Nicolas Miller, James Beck, granddaughters Jessica and Alexandra Miller and great grandson Johnathan Trader.
   
 

Memorial Services for Mary Poppins (Peggy Trader) will be held Friday July 16th at 1pm at St. John's Episcopal Church, 760 1st Ave Chula Vista 91910, closed casket. Then over to Glen Abbey Mortuary, 3838 Bonita Rd Bonita 91902 at 2:30pm for graveside service and burial. There will NOT be a reception after the graveside service.
